I spent a fortune on Secret Santa goodies and couldn’t believe what I got in return – I refuse to ever do it again

A YOUNG woman was left fuming after participating in a game of Secret Santa with work colleagues.

She took to social media to show off the Christmas hamper she had made compared to the gift she received.

Everyone was set a budget of £50[/caption]

“This is your sign not to do Secret Santa,” she captioned the post.

She later revealed that the Secret Santa game had a budget of £50 and people didn’t have to participate.

In her basket, she had included a blush pink blanket, as well as a small pot of Nivea cream, a small travel jewellery holder and a Garnier hair mask.

But that’s not all, she even picked up a Sol de Janeiro body mist which retails for £25, a set of shower gels for £8, the Beauty Pie Triple Hyaluronic Acid & Lipopeptide Serumwhich is £24.

Plus, she grabbed a Treaclemoon Brazilian Love Shower & Bath Gel for £2, a face illuminator and the Sol de Janeiro moisturiser which costs £21.

She revealed that while her basket was worth more than the £50 budget, she had used vouchers so it technically didn’t cost her more.

“I used vouchers, so technically yes it is but with the vouchers it came to £50, thought I might as well put them to good use,” she wrote in the comments.

However, it seems her goodwill and Christmas cheer were not reciprocated.

Despite the fact everyone was meant to spend £50 all she received was a cheap generic bath bomb and a Dove lip balm.

Rightfully, she was fuming at the gift she received and how the person had put such little effort in.

She wrote: “The point is though, everyone agreed on the budget, it was made crystal clear if you don’t want to be involved you don’t have to!

“I fully understand some people can’t afford much, and those who couldn’t simply didn’t get involved. everyone who agreed to the budget could afford it. Simple as .There is no excuse.”

The clip went viral on TikTok @userr178444 with over 1 million views and 87k likes.

People were quick to take her side, saying they would be raging as well.
