FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Sunday evening!

We got to see a little more sunshine back in the area today, but temperatures certainly didn't benefit from it. After another day spent below the freezing line, we're finally looking at some relief from the colder weather as we head into the next couple of days.

Tonight, we'll see a few clouds moving in and out of the area. Temperatures will be dropping to the lower 20s to start off the work week. Monday will stay partly cloudy for the majority of the day. Stronger winds, with gusts as high as 20 miles per hour, will bring in some more mild air. The thermometer will climb to the lower 40s by the afternoon, putting us slightly above average for this time of year.

Our next system arrives late Monday going into Tuesday. A line of showers will sweep across the area a couple hours after sundown. Most of the rain falls overnight with a few showers lingering into Tuesday morning. We're still cloudy through the rest of Tuesday with temperatures still in the 40s.

Looking ahead to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, a little bit of rain will work back into the area. A few showers will be here Christmas morning, but temperatures will be warm enough to keep it falling as rain. So, another year without a White Christmas for Central Ohio.

Going into the final days of December, temperatures continue to warm all the way into the mid to lower 50s. By the weekend, we're looking at an unsettled pattern returning, keeping persistent chances of scattered showers in the area.
