Woman, 76, punched in the head at Manhattan subway station: NYPD
MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – A 76-year-old woman was assaulted at a Manhattan subway station on Dec. 22, according to the NYPD.
It happened on the southbound No. 6 train platform at the 51st Street station in Midtown around 2:30 p.m.
A man was accused of approaching the woman and punching her in the head, causing her to fall to the ground, police said. The suspect then fled the station on foot, according to authorities.
The woman was taken to NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital by EMS.
