Kim Kardashian Recreates Decade-Old, 'Internet-Breaking' Photoshoot
It's hard to believe that it's been an entire decade since Kim Kardashian "broke the internet" with her November 2014 Paper magazine photoshoot. But over the weekend, the 44-year-old proved that she's still got it—we'll leave what "it" refers to depending on an individual's interpretation—by recreating the iconic throwback.
In a carousel of Instagram photos taken at a Christmas party for her Skims shapewear brand, Kardashian was the epitome of the holiday spirit in a red leather cutout dress. Having recently broken her foot, she wore a high heel on one foot and an orthopedic boot on the injured foot.
In a couple of the photos, the mother of four could be seen holding a festive-looking red cocktail, and in the sixth photo, she posed with it on her prominent derriere. She captioned the series of photos simply enough, with a gift emoji.
In the infamous Paper photoshoot, Kardashian had posed in a long, sequined strapless black gown holding a bottle of just-popped champagne. The bubbles shot in a stream into the air over her head, landing in a coupe glass perfectly balanced on her behind. It may not have "broken" the internet per say, however it did accrue over a half-million likes—falling way short of the 1.8 million likes the new series of photos racked ups since being posted over the weekend.

It just goes to show how Kardashian's star has risen over the past decade, which has seen a high-profile marriage and subsequent divorce from Kanye West, the launch of her Skims brand as well as Hulu series The Kardashians, and legal apprenticeship, among other things.
"I love sharing my world with people," Kardashian told the publication in the 2014 cover story. "That's just who I am." No more, no less."
