3 cats lost in Schoharie County trailer fire
WRIGHT, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- There was a trailer fire on Monday morning that left three cats dead. Gallupville Fire Chief Michael Boomhower said it was on Drebitko Road in the town of Wright.
The call came in at 6:29 a.m. and Chief Boomhower said the fire was under control at 7:12 a.m. The single wide trailer is a complete loss after the fire.
Chief Boomhower also said that two residents and two dogs had escaped the fire and no firefighters were injured, but one of the residents was transported to Ellis Hospital. There was no update on the patient's condition.
Investigation revealed that the fire appeared to be accidental with no malicious intent. Schoharie, Middleburg, Central Bridge and Berne Fire Departments, as well as State Police, Schoharie County EMS, and Scho-Wright Ambnulance were on the scene as mutual aid to the Gallupville Fire Department.
