Jodie Turner-Smith Claims Ex Joshua Jackson Hasn't Paid Child or Spousal Support Since Split
Jodie Turner-Smith is taking legal action against estranged husband Joshua Jackson.
On Monday (December 23), the 38-year-old The Agency actress filed new court documents alleging that the 46-year-old Doctor Odyssey actor has paid her child support or spousal support since she filed for divorce in October 2023.
Keep reading to find out more…Jodie is requesting that Joshua pay her $8,543 per month retroactive to the date of her filing in child support, according to TMZ. She’s also seeking $28,641 a month in spousal support while their divorce is still pending.
If you didn’t know, Jodie and Joshua first met in 2018 and got engaged a few months later. They married in August 2019 and welcomed their daughter Juno, 4, in April 2020.
In her initial divorce filing, Jodie asked the court to take spousal support off the table, but has seemingly changed her mind. She’s also asking that Joshua pay her $250,000 to cover her attorney fees and other legal fees.
In the new court documents, Jodie claimed that Joshua, who she says has made significantly more money than her, said that he “promised to always support me and ensured me that I would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated because he said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.”
She now says that Joshua is “reneging on that promise” and is trying to get her to agree to a settlement that’s less than what she believes she deserves.
Earlier this year, Jodie opened up about the end of their marriage for the first time and why doesn’t think it was a failure.
