La La Anthony Channels ‘The Matrix’ in Black Velvet Knife-Like Legging Boots at 9th annual ‘Million Dollar Giveback’ Christmas Event in New York
La La Anthony looked extra sleek while in attendance at the 9th annual “Million Dollar Giveback” Christmas event held in New York on Dec. 20. Beyond Anthony, notable attendees included Ne-Yo along with a slew of big names in the rap scene.
The television personality looked like she just stepped out of “The Matrix,” clad in ultra-sharp legging-inspired booties. Where loungewear meets boots, the style was crafted of jet-black velvet, offering textural interest. The hybrid style was high-waisted, swiftly transitioning into knife-like toes akin to styles hailing from brands like Balenciaga, Saint Laurent and Mugler.
Short and thin 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels finished out the set, offering Anthony a subtle height boost. Anthony is not the first to brave this interesting footwear style. From Kim Kardashian to Kylie Jenner, the silhouette can be likened to the ever-popular and very polarizing sock booties that took the fashion and footwear landscapes by storm back in 2017 and 2018. The aforementioned style came in a slew of colors, much like the legging-inspired shoe, seen on top stars like Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid and Sofia Richie.
Going for a full monochrome moment, Anthony partnered her velvet bottoms with a matching turtleneck bodysuit. Layered overtop, the social media star donned a black satin jacket that sat off the shoulders. As for accessories, Anthony sported simple black sunglasses.
When it comes to fashion, Anthony always rules. The former MTV “TRL” host is known to step out in show-stopping outfits that usually consist of monochromatic moments, colorful prints and streetwear apparel. Her shoe wardrobe is equally as bold.
You will likely catch her in Christian Louboutin pumps, thigh-high boots and stylish kicks. Along with her exquisite fashion taste, the multihyphenate businesswoman has made a name for herself in the fashion industry by collaborating with UK-based online retailer PrettyLittleThing.
