Megan Thee Stallion Cozies Up Courtside in Timberland-Inspired Louis Vuitton LV Ranger Boots at Chicago Bulls Game
Megan Thee Stallion attended a basketball game between the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics at the United Center on Dec. 21 in Chicago.
The “Mamushi” rapper cozied up courtside, clad in a pair of Louis Vuitton ankle boots. The Timberland-esque style closely resembled the French designer brand’s LV Ranger silhouette. Retailing for $1,450.00 via the brand’s website, the ankle-length style included velvety textural nubuck leather uppers in beige that were partially embossed with the brand’s iconic mini monogram pattern accompanied by thick textile lace-up closures.
Thick non-slip rubber soles gave way to short stacked block heels. Both heels are fastened with three gold monogrammed flowers, while the tongue is affixed with an LV initial label, making the shoe instantly recognizable.
Although Megan’s pair weren’t Timberland’s, it’s not hard to see the brand’s impact, given the Louis Vuitton silhouette closely resembles one of their best-selling workboot models. Timberland is best known for its iconic yellow work boot, the Original Timberland boot.
The utilitarian boot was introduced in 1973 and was made to take on the harsh elements of New England. Today, Timberland offers a full range of footwear, apparel, and accessories. The brand is widely recognized as the arbiter of boot culture. Since its conception, the shoe has subsequently been featured in popular media from music videos to films.
Accompanying her monogrammed footwear, the musician donned a Dsquared2 faux fur cropped jacket in brown tones accompanied by an equally cropped white baby tee and baggy cargo pants. A shearling YSL bag was slung over her arm.
The “Legendary” former judge often slips into sharp pumps, platform sandals and heeled boots from a range of top brands, including Weitzman, Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo on the red carpet. Off-duty, she also wears colorful sneakers by brands including Giuseppe Zanotti. Aside from wearing bold shoes, she’s also starred in campaigns for Coach, Puma and Nike and launched a collaborative line with Fashion Nova in 2021.
