Aldi Just Brought This Fan-Favorite Holiday Pastry & Shoppers Say 'It's Freaking Delicious'
Need a last-minute holiday treat? You’ve got your eggnog and hot cocoa on standby, but you need a sweet, flaky pastry to feel festive this season. Thanks to Aldi, you can have one ready in minutes! The retailer is selling a fan-favorite holiday pastry that is “freaking delicious,” according to shoppers who tried it, and we’re considering this a sign we need to make one more Aldi run before the holiday festivities begin!
Instagram user @theamazingaldi spotted a delicious Danish treat called a Kringle in stores recently. “Your favorite holiday pastries are back at Aldi!” they captioned a post featuring their exciting find. In the first picture, you can see two delicious Racine Danish Kingles pre-made and wrapped up ready to serve. They come in either raspberry or almond flavored and can be served as-is or warmed up. Yum! They also shared a photo of another holiday find: vanilla cream and chocolate chip brioche buns arranged in the shape of a Christmas tree because you can never have too many pastries.
Kringles are oval-shaped pastries, kind of like a donut, made with flaky, buttery dough, and filled with tons of delicious toppings, then decorated with icing and other toppings. (Fun fact: it’s the official state pastry of Wisconsin, too.) The delicious goodies are named after Santa Claus, aka Kris Kringle, and will no doubt make you just as jolly as he is when you eat them.
“It’s freaking delicious,” one person commented. Someone else called these “Soooooo good.” You don’t have to tell us twice! We’re ready to embrace the Danish Christmas spirit and bust these out on the 25th, served with hot coffee or any other festive beverage of choice. These would make for a quick and easy breakfast before opening presents or a sweet afternoon pick-me-up.
And if you grab too many, stash a few in the freezer and eat on them all week. It’s the 12 Days of Christmas, after all!
