Warmer and cloudier today, scattered rain for Christmas

Not as cold in Acadiana this morning but still very chilly with temperatures in the lower 50s. Warmer and cloudier weather is in the forecast this Christmas Eve as highs near 73° under mostly cloudy skies. A few showers are possible today with rain chances at 20%. Lows tonight will only be in the upper 50s.

Unseasonably warm and cloudy weather will continue through Christmas Day. Scattered showers and storms become likely through the morning hours and could extend into the early afternoon. Severe weather is not expected at this time for our area.
