AI ‘therapist’ can sense your emotions to learn how to help you – and will make podcasts like Joe Rogan look outdated

ARTIFICIAL intelligence is on course to read users’ emotions to help them run every aspect of their lives.

Education tech firm Mindvalley says it is building an AI tool dubbed E.V.E. to act as a therapist.

It will employ wearable devices to detect how people are feeling and then offer guidance on how to deal with those emotions.

It will also help individuals network with like-minded people in their local area who are using the technology.

And it is set to deliver a podcast digest delivered in each user’s personalized AI voice.

Mindvalley CEO and founder Vishen Lakhiani, 48, says it will totally transform the way people consume content online.

Speaking exclusively to The U.S. Sun, Lakhiani explained, “At Mindvalley, we are building an AI tool called E.V.E., which stands for EVeryone Elevates and is also the name of my daughter.

“It can guide us in terms of what to eat, it can guide us as a therapist, it will be able to help us with our relationships and our health.

“But to truly make it work, it can’t just be any random AI voice.

“The AI has to know you and be augmented with human intelligence so this is what we are building.

“We are building a way for the AI to help you get clear on your goals, your deepest desires, your inner longings and the things you want to create.

“We typically set our goals with wise mentors who push us and nudge us to dream bigger.

“So the AI will encourage you to set goals for your health, for your career advancement, for how much money you spend and save.”

To boost what the AI can do for users, Mindvalley says it has enlisted 100 world-class teachers to interact with it.

Once users have identified their goals, they will get customized advice from the experts to help them obtain them.

“You can wake up in the morning and say you want to work on the goal of becoming a public speaker and the AI will guide you to a lesson by one of our world class public speaking teachers like Lisa Nichols,” Lakhiani said.

“She then might guide you on the nuances of storytelling when you are talking on stage.

“But the AI can go further and create custom visualizations.

“It can also sense how you are feeling through a wearable device.

“It can then detect if you are feeling stressed and guide you to a breathing technique to lower your stress.

“It can remind you of your goals, perhaps to put down the first down payment on a home, and have you visualize that moment to keep you motivated to work towards that goal.

“As we do this we are creating something deeply personal, the AI knows you and who you want to be and can help you understand the world.”

E.V.E. is being designed to scan the web for content that is relevant to each user’s goals and then summarize it for them.

“Podcasts are going to become highly personal, each individual is going to have their own AI voice delivering a custom podcast teaching you exactly what you need to know to work towards your goal,” Lakhiani explained.

“Listening to an individual person randomly speaking to a million people is going to feel outdated.

“You will have your own custom AI voice summarizing Joe Rogan, summarizing the news.”

In addition to providing advice to achieve goals and helping people to understand the world around them, E.V.E. is being designed to connect people.

“Science shows that happiness and longevity go up in human beings when we are deeply connected,” Lakhiani said.

“The AI will connect you to people around you who you have things in common with.

“We have dating apps today but do we have apps for friendship, to eradicate loneliness?

“The AI might see that you are free at a certain time and put you in touch with someone else nearby who is free and who you share interests or goals with.

“It would then make the introduction. That is what we are building.

“It is going to create a world with better mental health, where there is less sadness and more connectedness, where people are encouraged to set proper goals and are guided to achieve them.”

E.V.E. uses a combination of AI systems, including OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini.

While the Mindvalley app is already featured in the Apple App Store, its AI feature is being released “bit by bit” to its around one million current users, Lakhiani said.

Subscriptions range from $200 to $400 per year, depending on the features selected and what country users are in.
