Merry Christmas Eve!
There will be a Christmas Eve Midnight Mass led by Pope Francis airing on NBC tonight (Tuesday, December 24) starting at 11:30 p.m. ET until 1 a.m. ET.
NBC News will air the special broadcast from Vatican City in Italy. There will be an English translation voiceover as well. In 2023, Father Manuel Dorantes from St. Mary of the Lake-Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Chicago provided English commentary for viewers.

The Sistine Chapel Choir will provide the music for the mass, which traditionally begins with “Noel.”
The Vatican’s Christmas tree in front of St. Peter’s Basilica will also be on display for the Midnight Mass, as has been tradition since 1982, begun by Pope John Paul II.
On Christmas Day (December 25), the Pope will deliver his traditional “Urbi et Orbi” address and blessing “To the City and the World.”
