Maharashtra govt. pays ₹86 lakh to 39 rescued labourers

Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission takes suo motu cognisance of media reports and directs State government to release compensation for the survivors as per Central law; the survivors are, however, unable to withdraw the money as they lack documents such as Aadhaar and PAN
