But in true EastEnders scenes their deceit is set to come to light during the Christmas Day special.

While it remains to be seen how Ian Beale and Cindy’s ex – and Junior’s father – George will react, fans are stunned to realise where they’ve seen him before.

The hunky character is played by Micah Balfour, who has previously starred in Emmerdale.

Micah played Dr Jermaine Bailey in the Yorkshire Dales from 2015 to 2016.

On the show he played the local village doctor who found himself in hot water when his character was in relationship with his seventeen-year-old patient Belle Dingle which cost him his job and his marriage.

Micah’s healthy living and fitness regime makes him look younger than he actually is, with the actor 46-year-old in real life.

Meanwhile, Micah previously played two characters on the much-loved 90s cop drama, The Bill.

He first appeared as Asher Campbell between 2005 and 2006.

However in 2007, he began portraying a different character in a regular role called PC Benjamin Gayle.

He starred as the popular bobby on the show until The Bill was cancelled in 2010.

Micah first EastEnders scenes were in May this year as soap bosses introduced him as the estranged son of George.
