Their appearance together captivated social media enthusiasts who keenly shared a clip of the duo’s casual saunter, fans eagerly capturing the moment. After hammering a century in the first Test, Kohli’s subsequent form has faltered, drawing criticism from fans and pundits alike. Enthusiastically commenting on the pitch condition at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Australian skipper, Pat Cummins, observed it as being pleasantly solid with a noticeable carpet of grass. He hinted this might serve as an advantage for spinner Nathan Lyon.

Pat opened up on the game in a press conference, commenting on the pitch he said, “Pitch looks really good, quite consistent to what it has here for the last few years, I think, you know, a bit of grass coverage, feels nice and firm, so they (curators) have done a great job here for, you know, probably the last five, six years, their pitches and I suspect the same this year.”

The skipper admitted, bowling under the scorching heat, where temperatures can soar upto 39 degrees, is indeed a tough task.
