FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Wednesday evening & Merry Christmas!

It's been a fairly cloudy holiday and rain has started to find its way into Central Ohio. There is a brief relief from the rain ahead, but even more wet weather will return before the year comes to a close.

Showers will continue to move across the area for the rest of this evening and even into the overnight hours. Best chance to see these showers will be for the southwestern portion of the state. Isolated showers will move eastward into tomorrow morning.

Thursday will remain cloudy for the first half of the day with a little bit of clearing taking place by the evening. Temperatures will begin to warm, with numbers climbing to the mid to upper 40s by the afternoon. We're climbing to the lower 50s for Friday, but looking at rain making a return.

Scattered showers will build back in for Friday afternoon and linger overnight. Saturday will still see a spotty chance for rain, but the best chance for wet weather will be here on Sunday. Temperatures over the weekend will get a major boost with numbers climbing into the mid to upper 50s.

For the final few days of the year, rain chances will remain spotty to isolated. Temperatures will still remain warm for this time of year, but will be cooling into the lower 50s. For the start of the new year, temperatures are dropping closer to normal - in the mid to lower 40s - with mostly cloudy skies.
