Survivors in tsunami rehabilitation colonies of New Nambiar Nagar, Akkaraipettai, and Velankanni face neglect and poor living conditions. Crumbling houses, stagnant water, and lack of basic amenities like clean water and drainage make life difficult. Contrastingly, Devanampattinam shows better maintenance but struggles with sewage overflow and lack of garbage disposal.
