Emmerdale murder shock as discovery is made about Will Taylor’s death
EMMERDALE’S Dawn Taylor has made a shocking discovery that suggests her dad Will was murdered – and she knows who by.
The mum of three – who is played by actress Olivia Bromley in the ITV soap – has been left devastated by her dad’s death on Christmas day.
Dawn and Billy are convinced Joe Tate murdered Will[/caption] Will died of a heart attack on Christmas Day[/caption] Joe watched Will die – while Kim battled to save him[/caption]He suffered a heart attack after his scheme against wife Kim Tate was exposed but in a tragic twist Kim thought he was faking and refused to help until the last minute.
She battled to save him but with the wait even the paramedics couldn’t revive him.
In an intriguing twist Joe Tate – who had been in cahoots with Will – covered for Kim with the police and her family.
He visited her and made sure she kept quiet, piling on the guilt.
But he sparked Billy’s curiosity while hanging around.
After chatting with Charity, Billy went home to tell Dawn about his suspicions.
He said: “I need to tell you something, I had a chat with Charity before about Joe and she’s told me everything.
“He’s a wrong-un Dawn. Some of the stuff he’s done is off the scale. He’s devious.
“When he first came to the village he pretended to be somebody else. He gave Debbie a great job, told her he loved her and then he tried to destroy her just to get revenge on Charity.
“He blames Charity for his dad’s death. And you’re not going to believe this but Kim tried to kill him – that’s why he ran off.
“So why has she forgiven him right now? Something’s off, really off. I have never seen your dad and Kim happier.
“The vow renewal was beautiful, but he turns up and now our whole world is turned upside down.
“Are the police doing a post mortem? What are thee chances of your dad having a heart attack just as he turns up?”
A horrified Dawn said: “You think he murdered my dad?”
Billy’s not alone – viewers are convinced Joe is responsible after spotting him knocking back mystery pills.
Kim Tate's biggest Emmerdale storylines
First appearing in 1989, Kim Tate (Claire King) is an iconic Emmerdale character. Here's a look at some of her biggest storylines over the years.
MARRIAGE TO FRANK TATE
Kim has been married three times in the soap, but her first, volatile pairing was with Frank Tate (Norman Bowler)
They were an on-screen partnership for almost a decade – including divorcing and remarrying.
However, Frank ultimately suffered a fatal heart attack, brought on by Kim’s return to the village after being presumed dead.
During the marriage, Kim had affairs with Neil Kincaid (Brian Deacon) and Dave Glover (Ian Kelsey).
FAKING HER OWN DEATH
Kim disappeared from the village in February 1997. A few days later, Frank identified a woman found dead at the wheel of her car as Kim.
However, everyone was in for a shock after Kim revealed she was still alive – and the full extent of her plan.
While she’d fled to the Caribbean, Kim had paid a lookalike prostitute to drive her car around the village to fool people into thinking she was still there. It was, in fact, her body that Frank previously identified.
JAMES’ KIDNAPPING
Kim’s business partnership with Lord Alex Oakwell (Rupam Maxwell), resulted in the death of Linda Fowler (Tonicha Jeronimo), in a car crash.
As an act of revenge, Linda’s mother Jan (Roberta Kerr) kidnapped Kim’s son James.
DEPARTURE
After a decade of causing chaos, Kim left Emmerdale in 1999 as she fled in a helicopter with her son James and £190,000 of Chris Tate’s money.
LATER MARRIAGES
Upon Kim’s return in 2018, she was first revealed to be married to Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough).
However, he was later killed off in a whodunnit storyline.
She later pursued a relationship with her employee Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), marrying him in 2022.
They are convinced Joe has some kind of heart condition and hass used the medication to kill Will for revenge on Kim.
Are they right? Did Joe kill Will?
