Heta and Woodhouse got action back underway at the PDC World Darts Championship, following the short Christmas break.

And the former quickly gave the expectant crowd something to get excited about.

Aussie Heta, 37, had dropped the first set to Woodhouse.

But he came roaring back in spectacular style.

Heta’s nine-darter was just the second of this year’s tournament so far.

Christian Kist was the first player to do so last week.

This year, players have more incentive than ever to go for a nine-darter.

That’s because of a new incentive that sees them land a bonus £60,000 if they can do it.

A further £60k also goes to Prostate Cancer UK each time, as well as to a random spectator in the crowd.

The fan to receive the cash prize after Kist’s nine-darter last week claimed “this can’t be real” after being selected.

Viewers watching on at home were buzzing at Heta’s achievement.

One wrote on social media: “WHAT HAVE I JUST SEEN!!! DAMON HETA TAKE A BOW SON!”

While a second gushed: “DAMON HETA!!!!! #WorldDartsChampionship Also loving the reaction from Luke Woodhouse.”

A third admitted: “Damon Heta, that is unbelievable.”

And another added: “Luke Woodhouse celebrating Damon Heta’s nine-darter like he’s in the Ally Pally crowd fair play.”
