DoT to seek FinMin nod for second BSNL VRS, to cut workforce by 35%

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) plans to seek finance ministry approval for a second voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), aiming to reduce the workforce by 35% and cut employee-related expenses. BSNL is requesting ₹15,000 crore to fund this initiative.
