Tori Spelling Let Her Teen Take over Elf on the Shelf Duties — & It Got Dark & Explicit Fast

So many parents would give just about anything to have a break from thinking up new shenanigans for their Elf on the Shelf. Setting up Santa’s little helper is either adored or a downright chore for parents, and we know so many celebrities were thrilled to say goodbye to their elves for the year (We’re looking at you, Jeannie Mai!). And so Tori Spelling was probably so happy when her older kids started helping with the Christmas tradition.

Until things veered off course. Because, while Elfy could be on the naughty list, he isn’t supposed to be naughty.

One morning, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum found that her 17-year-old son Liam created a “porn massacre” with elves “doing various things to each other.”

“[There were] mouths on different areas,” she said on an episode of her misSPELLING podcast. “Hands where they shouldn’t be. Some were upside down, all around.”

Along with Liam, Spelling shares kids Stella, 16, Hattie, 13, Finn, 12, and Beau, 7 with ex Dean McDermott. And, despite Spelling’s best efforts to ask her t(w)eens to “cut back on the dirtiness,” things didn’t stop with the “OnlyElves” display.

No, Finn apparently wanted to create a dark display of his own. Per ENews, The 12-year-old arranged the elves in a circle with a reindeer placed a pan in the middle. Alongside the eerie set-up was a sign that said, “How do you like your reindeer? Rare, medium or well done?”

The actress later admitted that while her sons certainly went “next level” with the elf naughtiness this year, her daughters’ displays tend to have a different vibe.

“It’s funny when girls versus boys do it because Stella and Hattie do the elves and it’s very creative and very artsy,” she said. “And then the boys do it, and they’re like, ‘Sex, love and rock ‘n’ roll — minus the love.'”

Given her admittedly dark and dirty sense of humor, Spelling said she did get a kick out of her kids’ extreme displays — even if they were risque. “I laughed but it was like, ‘Wow,'” Spelling said.

When speaking with SheKnows earlier this year, Spelling said laughter is one of her prized self-care rituals.

“You know I love to have a good laugh – I always believe a little humor goes a long way, especially when it comes to stressful seasons in life!” she said when preparing for a new school year. “Connecting with my friends, family, and fans who are also going through similar situations to share a laugh is always a big help for me.”

So maybe her boys turning Xmas into XXXmas is exactly what she needed to get a good laugh and make her way through what was probably a stressful holiday season.

These celebrity parents are sharing the struggle — and sweetness — of raising teenagers.
