Phantoms Rematch at Penguins Tonight

Allentown, PA – The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled forward Olle Lycksell from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Lycksell, 25, played for the Flyers on Saturday, December 20 against Columbus in his season debut with Philadelphia. He had also just been named AHL Player of the Week for a second time in his career after recording four goals with two assists for six points in two games including an overtime winner and a hat trick for the week ending December 22.

Lycksell leads the Phantoms in scoring with nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points. His 103 shots on goal is most in the AHL and is eight more than the next closest player, Dryden Hunt of Calgary who has 95 shots.

The Osksarshamn, Sweden product recorded 19-20-39 in just 38 games with the Phantoms in the 2023-24 season and also scored 1-4-5 with Philadelphia in 18 games.

A Round 6 selection of the Flyers in 2017, Lycksell recorded his 100th career point with the Phantoms on December 4, 2024 vs. Rockford becoming the 10th player in Lehigh Valley history to reach the milestone. In three seasons with the Phantoms he has scored 42-66-108 in 116 career games while also playing in 27 NHL games with the Flyers scoring 1-5-6.

The Phantoms return from the Holiday Break on Friday night with a rematch at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The Phantoms are at home on Saturday, December 28 against the Charlotte Checkers featuring postgame photos with the Phantoms players presented by NJM Insurance. Tuesday, December 31 against Charlotte including Lightup sticks from Penn Community Bank and the World’s Largest Puck Drop after the game to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
