Margaret Qualley Wants to Stop Making 'Obscure, Artsy' Movies
Margaret Qualley has received widespread acclaim for her movie roles over the years, but she’s ready to change things up.
The 30-year-old actress is done making “obscure, artsy movies” and wants to start making the kind of movies she enjoys watching, like romantic comedies.

Margaret is best known for films like The Substance, Kinds of Kindness, Drive-Away Dolls, Poor Things, Sanctuary, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
“I think I’ve been in a lot of obscure, arty movies. And they’re not actually the movies I like to watch. And I think I wanna start being in stuff that I would wanna watch. I wanna do movies where I keep my clothes on and I don’t die in the end. The bar is low,” she told Vogue Australia. “I’m so thirsty for a rom-com. I’m manifesting.”
That being said, Margaret does admit she’s “grateful” for the response to her movies.
“It’s exciting when something becomes a part of the culture. I think that’s what most artists are setting out to do: put enough of themselves into something that it feels somewhat universal,” she said.
