EUNICE, La. (KLFY) -- A 26-year-old Eunice man is accused of attempted murder and other offenses in connection with a shooting on E. Maple Avenue, according to the Eunice Police Department.

In a news release on Friday, Eunice police announced the arrest of Isaiah Bradley. He faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, illegal carrying and discharge of weapons, and possession of firearms by a person convicted of certain felonies.

The shooting was reported just before 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Police said they were dispatched to the area of Minerva Street and Mayers Street concerning a vehicle that was shot. Arriving officers learned that the shooting occurred at a home in the 500 block of E. Maple Avenue.

"Officers spoke with a witness where it was learned that the suspect shooter, later identified as Isaiah Bradley, 26, Eunice, had fired several shots at a male victim," police said in the news release.

According to police, the victim's girlfriend said he had arrived in a vehicle to pick up her and her two children from her home.

"She stated while she and her two children began walking towards the vehicle, Bradley began shooting at the vehicle with the victim in the vehicle," police said.

Authorities said the vehicle was struck about six times and that the victim fled the area after the shooting.
