A recent photo from the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) captured her posing with the family of Indian cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy. Fans also spotted Athiya Shetty, who is expecting, in the picture.
On December 27, 2024, Nitish Kumar Reddy’s father shared a photo on Instagram Stories. In the image, Anushka Sharma wore a white top, denim pants, and black flats. Her hair was down with a hair tie around her wrist as she smiled warmly. Nitish’s father captioned it, “A lovely moment,” with a heart-eye emoji.
The photo was taken inside the MCG, with Athiya Shetty, who is expecting, seen in the background while talking on the phone. Dressed in a white outfit, she was accompanied by her husband, KL Rahul, who is also in Melbourne. The couple, who married in January 2023, recently announced that they are expecting their first child, sharing the happy news with fans on Friday.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are in Australia with their children, Vamika and Akaay, and celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary there. On December 11, the couple was seen outside their team hotel in Brisbane, and a few days later, Anushka shared a joyful selfie with Virat, captioning it, “Best day ever!”
Meanwhile, on December 28, Nitish Kumar Reddy made his maiden Test fifty for India in the ongoing fourth Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The 21-year-old all-rounder, batting at No. 8, reached the milestone with a boundary off Mitchell Starc on his 81st ball. Reddy celebrated with the viral Pushpa hand gesture, which quickly gained attention on social media.
India’s first innings saw them post a total of 347/7 in 111 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal was run out for 8, while Rohit Sharma, the captain, was dismissed for 35 by Pat Cummins. KL Rahul fell for 24, also to Cummins, and Virat Kohli was dismissed for 36 by Scott Boland.
