Sabarimala temple to reopen for makaravilakku festival on Dec 30

The Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple will reopen on Monday for the makaravilakku festival. The temple will be opened by Melshanthi S Arun Kumar Namboothiri with the head priest, Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, present. Pilgrims can visit the temple for darshan. The temple was earlier closed on December 26 after the mandala puja, which marked the end of the first 41-day pilgrimage.
