Vanna White Is Reportedly Eyeing Another Pay Increase After Recent ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Success

It’s been a good year for Vanna White who saw the success of Wheel of Fortune rise after Ryan Seacrest took over for Pat Sajak this season. After negotiating a two-year contract to take her through 2026, the 67-year-old co-host might be eyeing another salary bump to reward her hard work. 

“For the time being, Vanna is staying with the show, but the suddenly increased viewership is enough to make her question the deal she’s been under,” a Closer Weekly insider alleged. There are rumors that the producers of the long-running game show want to lock in Seacrest to an exclusive deal after the ratings rose dramatically this fall. That’s why the Vanna Speaks author believes she deserves her fair share — and we agree!

“She’s going to have a front-row seat watching Ryan get a giant raise and a long-term commitment from the studio. Everybody expects that she’ll follow suit and ask for more money sooner rather than later,” the source added. That’s just smart business for White, who had a major contract battle in 2023. Her lawyer, Bryan Freedman locked in a new deal after she had not seen a pay raise for a shocking 18 years. 

At the time she was earning $3 million, but that was a paltry sum compared to Sajak’s $15 million. It’s important to note that White has equal billing on the show and should be paid accordingly. It will be fascinating to see her future contract negotiations unfold because there is an heir apparent waiting in the wings: Sajak’s daughter Maggie. 

Maggie is the social media correspondent for the show and is the rumored replacement if White decides to retire. There is no rivalry, though. White has given Maggie her blessing if and when she’s done with Wheel of Fortune. 

“I think she’s a good replacement if I can’t be there for some reason. She’s been around it her whole life, so I think she can fill in for me for sure,” White told E! News in October 2023. “I think she’s good for our show.”

In the meantime, White is enjoying her Wheel of Fortune fame and is staying put for now. Go, Vanna!
