Man arrested after attempted burglary leads to miles-long chase
JOHNSTON COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) - A man was arrested Sunday after an attempted burglary in Mannsville led to a miles-long chase down multiple highways.
At the end of the chase officials said the suspect shouted for deputies to kill him but they didn't, instead they used less-than-lethal ways to arrest him.
Johnston County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook Sunday that earlier in the day they responded to an attempted burglary call out of Mannsville.

That call came in around 2:20 p.m. but when officials got there the suspect who was identified as Christopher Morris had fled the scene. However a short time after Deputies found the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop on State Highway 199.
The suspect didn't stop but instead took off down the highway.
Officials said the pursuit continued into Marshall County where several other agencies helped out. Eventually the suspect drove into the City of Madill before getting back onto US 70 west.

The suspect eventually pulled over near US 70 and Cedar Hill Road where officials said he got out and yelled for deputies to kill him. However that's when the less-than-lethal devices were deployed and officials were able to take him into custody.
Morris was booked into the Johnston County Jail for attempted burglary, eluding, threatening acts of violence, malicious injury to property, and transporting an open container.
