Govt says Rs 17,581 crore invested under PLI scheme for specialty steel till October

As of October 2024, Rs 17,581 crore has been invested and over 8,660 jobs created under the PLI scheme for specialty steel to boost domestic production and reduce imports. A total of Rs 27,106 crore investment and 7.90 million tonnes production is anticipated, with ongoing efforts to expedite project clearances.
