Why 'General Hospital' Is Airing 2 Repeat Episodes This Week

There are some changes coming to General Hospital for the week of December 30, 2024.

Normally for the ABC daytime TV show, there would be five new episodes each weekday during its regularly scheduled time slot.

However, right now, there will be two repeats aired this week!

On Tuesday (December 31), General Hospital will air its first repeat of the week. They will air an episode that originally aired on August 26, 2024.

On Wednesday (January 1), another repeat episode will air. This time, it’ll be the episode that originally aired on September 23, 2024.

Why are these changes happening? Fans are assuming it’s because of the New Year’s Eve holiday, and soaps routinely take breaks during the major holidays.

General Hospital will return with new episodes on Thursday (January 2).
