Former ‘Baywatch’ Star Opened Up About 'Really Hard Moments' Filming
Former Baywatch star Nicole Eggert revealed that it wasn't always a day at the beach, so to speak, in her experience filming the classic series.
Eggert, 52, told Fox News Digital that although the series frequently depicted gorgeous weather, the conditions on set were often the complete opposite.
"So, it was like being on the beach is the most amazing job in the world," Eggert admitted. "But the cold days, the freezing days, the days getting rained out and you have to be in the ocean—you're going, ‘What did I sign up for? What did I do?’”
"You know, fighting hypothermia. Like just trying to find a dry towel anywhere. Those were really hard moments," she continued. "The cold days you have—the bad always outweighs the good."
Eggert lasted just two seasons on Baywatch, though the show ran for a total of 11. She played Summer Quinn from 1992 until 1994 before going on to various film roles and reality TV appearances.
In January, Eggert revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage two cribriform carcinoma breast cancer. "This journey's been rough for me. This hasn't been a breezy sail through life,” she told People. "I always read inspirational quotes and corny stuff, but it gets me through."
Eggert chose to preemptively shave her head before undergoing treatment, a moment she shared with her followers on social media. "Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are," she captioned a video of her daughter, Keegan, helping to shear her locks.
