Gold prices crossed the Rs 80,000 per 10 gm mark this year, driven by a strong rally before encountering resistance from the Fed's policies. The latest price, recorded at Rs 76,469 on Tuesday at 2 pm, is nearly 5% below its all-time high of Rs 80,282 on the MCX.
