Two people charged with drug possession in Fort Edward
FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- New York State Police arrested two people during a Fort Edward traffic stop for felony drug possession on Thursday. Troopers said Elizabeth M. Beckett, 31, of Schenectady, and Taylor M. Ruddy, 23, of Middle Grove, face multiple charges.
Troopers stopped a car on Bridge Street around 6:26 p.m. and identified Beckett as the driver and Ruddy as the passenger. Beckett was found to be driving without a valid driver's license, and Ruddy provided false information to Troopers.
Through an investigation, Troopers found several controlled substances and felony-weight narcotics in the vehicle. Ruddy had multiple active warrants for arrest, and both were turned over to Washington County Jail for arraignment.
