UNSOLVED: Investigators seek answers in 2019 hit-and-run that claimed life of elderly Crowley woman

ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for help in solving a hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a 78-year-old Crowley woman nearly six years ago.

The deadly hit-and-run happened around 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2019, in the 1100 block of Lovell Street near Crowley.

The incident claimed the life of Jeanette Clifton. Investigators believe Clifton was struck by a vehicle that was traveling west on Lovell St. while she was walking home from a neighbor's house.

According to the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office, a vehicle of interest was captured on home video surveillance. The vehicle of interest is described as a light-colored extended cab, possibly a Chevy or GMC.
