Who's Singing 'Imagine' on New Year's Eve 2025? All About Mickey Guyton!

A singer is chosen to perform John Lennon‘s classic song “Imagine” in Times Square ever year on New Year’s Eve and 2025′s choice is country singer Mickey Guyton!

The Grammy-nominated singer will perform the song live on CNN’s special and you can also watch on Times Square’s live streams on TimesSquareNYC.org, NewYearsEve.nyc, and TimesSquareBall.net.

Last year’s singer drew very mixed reactions from the viewers at home!

Mickey has been signed to Capitol Records since 2011 after moving to Nashville and she released her debut single with the label in 2015.

In 2020, Mickey released her song “Black Like Me” amid the George Floyd protests, singing about her experiences with racial discrimination. The song earned widespread acclaim and was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance at the Grammys, making Mickey the first black female artists to be nominated in the country category.

Mickey‘s debut studio album Remember Her Name was released in 2021 and earned her three Grammy nominations. She went on to perform the National Anthem at the 2022 Super Bowl.

You might recognize Mickey from her role as a coach and judge on the Apple TV+ competition series My Kind of Country or from performing her song “All American” at the Democratic National Convention in August 2024.

Mickey has been in a relationship with lawyer Grant Savoy since 2010 and they got married in June 2017. The couple welcomed their first child into the world in February 2021 – a boy named Grayson.
