The Jacksons are ready to boogie into 2025
The Jacksons are one of the most legendary families in music history. As 2025 nears, Marlon and Jackie Jackson plan to continue inspiring fans around the globe. The superstars say they are constantly reminded that their music transcends boundaries of age and culture.
“We’ve been blessed with evergreen music,” said Marlon Jackson. “Everybody enjoys the sound. When we started, the lyrics were for a certain demographic, but the music was for everybody.”
Jackie noted that the music continues to be for everybody, adding that the audience that comes to their shows is simply looking for a great time.
“It’s the kind of music you can bring your grandma and the whole family to enjoy," Jackie said. "It’s just about having a party.”
It's a party the Jacksons have been part of since their early days in Gary, Indiana, and through their global fame with Motown. The family's close-knit, family-centric dynamic underpins their performances. Marlon made it clear that the Jacksons are having a lot of fun.
“Sometimes we don’t even know what we’re going to do. If something works, we do it again.” Jackie admitted, “Sometimes I forget the lyrics, and the crowd starts singing for me. Then I jump back in.”
The ubiquity that allows an audience to sing every word of their hit songs reflects an impact felt worldwide, an impact by which the family is continuously humbled.
We didn’t realize we touched so many hearts all over the world,” Marlon said.
“People tell us, ‘You guys are the reason I’m doing this,’ or ‘Your music was our wedding song.’ It’s amazing to hear,” Jackie added.
Showing no signs of slowing down, the Jacksons are looking forward to 2025, hinting at some exciting developments coming for the new year. They teased a new documentary that will offer an intimate look into their lives.
“It’s going to dive into things people don’t know about us—what happens on the road and off the stage,” said Marlon.
“It’ll show that we’re no different than any other family. We just happen to sing," Jackie added.
The brothers also plan to release new music and continue touring.
“Performing is my happiest time,” said Jackie. “There’s nothing like being on stage and seeing everyone enjoying themselves.”
