Pakistan eyes anti-Taliban tie-up with Tajik president

Pakistan is seeking to partner with Tajikistan to counterbalance the influence of Taliban-ruled Afghanistan. Tajik President Emomali Rahmon recently met with Pakistan's ISI director-general to discuss regional security and coordination. While Tajikistan is cautious about forming a security alliance, it is exploring communication channels with the anti-Taliban National Resistance Front, operating out of Afghanistan.
