Over 15,000 NGOs granted FCRA licences, reveals MHA report

Over 15,000 NGOs received FCRA licences in 2023-24, while over 7,500 were denied by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The report also noted amendments to FCRA rules. Prominent organizations had their licences revoked or denied. A three-month extension was given to pending renewals. NGOs without licences cannot receive foreign grants.
