AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Texas Longhorns secured a victory Wednesday over the Arizona State Sun Devils in a nail-biting game that ended in double overtime.
The Longhorns' victory in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta means they'll advance to the CFP semifinals at the Cotton Bowl Classic on Jan. 10 in Arlington.
Though the victory was hundreds of miles away in Georgia, the celebrations were seen and felt back home in Austin.

One fan, who was watching the game at Haymaker, said she loves that the Longhorns bring her family together.
"The family always comes together, we love to come and watch a game," she said. "They always bring us together, the football games. We like to come out and have a few drinks, and our kids like to come. It's always a good time with the family."

Texas will play in the Cotton Bowl Classic on Jan. 10 against the Ohio State Buckeyes, after Ohio's victory against top-seeded Oregon in the Rose Bowl.
