Capper Foundation closing Monday, here's why

TOPEKA (KSNT) - A local nonprofit is closing its doors next week due to anticipated severe winter weather.

The Capper Foundation announced Thursday, Jan. 2 that its offices, pediatric outpatient clinic and adult day centers in Topeka, El Dorado and Winfield will be closed Monday, Jan. 6. This is to prioritize the safety and well-being of its employees, adults supported and pediatric families in light of the forecasted severe winter weather.

Dialogue Coffee House, a community employment program located at Southwest 29th Street and Southwest Gage Boulevard, may also be closed on Jan. 6, according to a news release from Capper Foundation. The company is waiting until later in the weekend to make a final schedule adjustment or closure decision.

Further announcement will be posted on the Capper Foundation's social media accounts, as well as Dialogue Coffee House's social media.
