From getting frisky outdoors to having sex playing video games, the top kinks from 2024 – has YOURS made the list?
A NEW survey has lifted the lid on thousands of people’s sex lives and their fetishes – so, how does YOUR relationship match up?
Data of 4,00 respondents using the dating app Bumble has revealed the most popular kinks – and it looks like feet, role play and latex, once huge in London, are no longer a hit in the bedroom.
Turns out, many like to wake their partner up with morning oral sex[/caption]The survey showed that in 2024, continuing to enjoy a romp after having an orgasm was the number one kink, followed by getting nookie in open air on a balcony.
The third most popular antic that Bumble users said turned them on was getting jiggy whilst playing video games and waking their partner up with oral sex landed at fourth place.
Whilst getting warmed up to the main event, many respondents revealed they enjoyed working out together totally naked, making this the fifth most popular fetish for this year.
The data also spilled the beans on the differences in sexual preferences between Gen Z, Millennials and Gen X.
Generation Z, who are said to be born be born between the mid 1990s to mid 2000s, appear to be slightly tamer when it comes to sex and bedroom antics.
When asked about their top sexual activities and preferences, cuddling took the main spot with other likings including at-home spa pamper days, ”hanging in a hotel bathtub with a tremendous view” and sex in the shower.
For the research, Bumble quizzed a staggering 4,059 members of its Official app, which is available in 46 countries and designed to build meaningful relationships through date planning and communication tips.
When it comes to getting into that adventurous spirit, the younger generation also seems to be shier about introducing different sex toys in the bedroom, with just 43% admitting they’d be open to the idea.
This compared to a majority – 54% – of Millennial and Gen X participants who said they were already using the kinky toys to spice up their love life.
The data found that Gen Z were also less likely to look for advice on sex positions than their predecessors – and instead, will stick to the old classic ”missionary” as their all time favourite.
Other top positions couples were raving about included kneeling (74%), face-to-face (72%), right angle (70%), cowgirl (59%) and oral sex (56%).
The least popular sex positions were exposed as doggy style (53%), sixty-nine (52%) and anal (50%).
In terms of intimate toys, pink furry handcuffs topped the list, Daily Mail reported.
Sexy time
This comes after it was previously revealed how often Brits really have sex – and their favourite time to get frisky.
According to the study, it’s Saturday that’s the favourite day for people to have sex, with the majority enjoying a pre-sleep romp at 10.09pm, the publication revealed.
”It is the weekend evenings that seem to be the most popular time for people to feel at their most relaxed and ready to enjoy time with their partner,” said Marina Nicoli, Marketing Manager at Pour Moi.
