Emily Atack shares new snap of boyfriend Alistair Garner as they celebrate first Christmas with their baby
EMILY Atack has delighted fans with an insight into her Christmas celebrations, which she shared with her boyfriend and their baby boy.
The couple looked thrilled to be celebrating their son’s first Christmas.
The TV star posted a series of images to her Instagram showing them kissing their son, along with an image of the couple smiling and laughing together.
Fans were clearly delighted to be given a peek into their festive proceedings, with one saying: “I’m so glad you’re happy, long may it be,” while another said: “Gorgeous baba!”
The Inbetweeners star chose to keep her relationship with scientist Alistair Garner mainly under wraps, only posting a picture of her baby bump when she announced the couple were expecting back in December 2023.
In her announcement, the Rivals star said she had never been so happy and utterly terrified at the same time: “Please go easy on me. Every day is mixed with thrill, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomiting – a bit like when you’ve just stepped off of the Oblivion at Alton Towers on a hangover.”
“I’ve got to know my body on such an insane level. It’s made me appreciate the one I’ve been given SO much, I’m doing my absolute best to make it a home for the little squid I’m growing.”
In June 2024 she posted her first picture of the couple with their newborn son.
She announced his birth saying: “We have a beautiful son. Barney James Garner. All my dreams have come true.”
Prior to her Christmas post of the new family of three, she showed fans a series of images of her with Alistair earlier in the month, wishing him a happy birthday and calling him: “The love of my life.”
The comedian has been linked to celebrities including singer Harry Styles and footballer Jack Grealish in the past, and split from her Big Brother star boyfriend Liam McGough in 2022.
Emily appeared on the fifth series of Dancing on Ice in 2010 and was a runner-up on the eighteenth series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
She has also starred in her own comedy show The Emily Atack Show and filmed a BBC documentary Emily Atack: Asking For It.
During the documentary, she explored online sexual harassment.
Following her appearance in Rivals, where her nude scenes in the Disney+ hit were shared and misrepresented online, the actress responded to “sexually aggressive” trolls.
She told The Times: “I can’t control people’s sexually aggressive behaviour, but I can continue with my campaigning and fighting for women’s freedom.”
“I should be able to do a scene like this and not receive negative attention. The two should not go hand in hand.”
“A woman said to me on Instagram the other day, ‘Pick a lane. You can’t play a racy role like that and get your clothes off and expect not to get messages. Why would you take that role? ‘”.
“And I wanted to say to her, ‘Are you telling me essentially to quit my job? ‘ Why should I? Women have to change their clothes, we have to change our routes home. I’m a professional. I’m never going to please everybody.”
