2 dead and 19 injured in Southern California plane crash

Police in Southern California say two people are dead after a small plane crashed through the roof of a sprawling furniture manufacturing building. The accident on Thursday near the Fullerton Municipal Airport in Orange County caused a fire and prompted the evacuation of at least 200 workers. The Fullerton Police Department says 11 people were taken to hospitals for injuries while eight were treated at the scene. The people who died are believed to have been on the plane, while those injured were inside the building. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating and says the aircraft is a single-engine, four-seat, Van’s RV-10. The National Transportation Safety Board also is investigating the crash.
