A large screen showed regional news reporters in their respective studios.

Viewers noticed a journalist adjusting her shoes – seemingly oblivious to being on camera.

Taking to X, one person penned: “Not sure one of them is ready.”

Another added: “Ha! We noticed that too.”

While a third pointed out a further blunder, remarking: “It’s also the wrong studio they’ve linked.”

It is not the first time viewers have picked up on a BBC News live blunder.

Annita McVeigh was left red-faced after being caught scrolling on her phone.

The presenter was at the helm of the lunchtime bulletins when she was blissfully unaware she was live on TV.

It appeared Annita thought there was a commercial break, but viewers saw the star scrolling on her phone.

This blunder lasted over a minute before the presenter realised she was on TV.

Meanwhile, on another occasion, Azadeh Moshiri was caught downing a drink and pulling faces at the camera in a major blunder.

Afterwards, Azadeh remarked: “Next time, I’ll just trust your cue.”

Eagle-eyed viewers took to social media upon witnessing the gaffe.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one quipped: “This is how all news bulletins should start.”

While another joked: “Stay hydrated everyone!”
