40% girl cadets in NCC, phase-wise expansion planned; 2 bands from Corps to take part in Parade

The NCC has increased the strength of girl cadets to 40 per cent. A phase-wise expansion is planned in the next few years. The ongoing NCC Republic Day Camp in Delhi has 2,361 cadets, including 917 girl cadets. 135 cadets from friendly countries will also participate. New ideas and innovation competitions have been introduced.
