Performing arts center in Berkshire County to relocate

HOUSATONIC, Mass. (NEWS10) -- A dance and performing arts education center in Berkshire County is relocating to its permanent home. Berkshire Pulse is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the purchase of a three-story, 13,350-square-foot facility in Housatonic.

Berkshire Pulse will begin planning renovation designs as well as the timeline and funding requirements to convert the property into a new dynamic dance and creative arts center. Part of the funding will come from a feasibility study grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Cultural Facilities Fund program.

Several anonymous donors made the purchase of the new property possible. As for the renovation costs, those will have to be taken care of later in 2025 in part through an anticipated multi-million dollar capital campaign launched by Berkshire Pulse's Board of Directors and volunteers.
