How to watch: The Bear is expected to hit Hulu sometime in June.

12. 1923 Season 2

The explosive Yellowstone prequel returns! If you slept on Season 1, the good news is you can stream Season 1 on Paramount+ right now. And, if you've been lost with the various twists and turns of regular Yellowstone, the Harrison Ford-led 1923 is a bit more self-contained.

How to watch: 1923 Season 2 hits Paramount+ on February 23.

11. Black Mirror Season 7

The celebrated sci-fi anthology series returns for an unprecedented seventh season. Featuring the usual terrifying presence of previous seasons, this new batch of episodes will also sport a sequel to a previous episode. Black Mirror Season 7 is expected to hit Netflix in the middle of the year.

10. Watson

What if you did a modern Sherlock Holmes show without Sherlock Holmes? That's the exact premise of the new modern-day medical thriller, Watson. Starring Morris Chestnut as the titular medical doctor turned writer turned part-time sleuth, Watson comes from the same creative team as Elementary. It's not a sequel or spinoff to that Sherlock series, but there's a good bet you can expect the same quality.

How to watch: Watson premiers on CBS on January 26. It will also stream on Paramount+.

9. Your Friends and Neighbors

Your Friends and Neighbors

Apple

Jon Hamm and Amanda Peet star in a new series from Apple TV all about a former hedge fund manager who resorts to a life of petty theft. Is Hamm returning to his Don Draper roots with this series? The details of Your Friends and Neighbors are still a bit scarce, but we can say on good authority that you don't want to miss this one.

How to watch: Your Friends and Neighbors debuts with its first two episodes on April 11, on Apple TV+.

8. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3

Since 2022, Strange New Worlds has been doing the impossible: making a Star Trek prequel show super accessible and fun. Unlike some of the more prestige-driven sci-fi shows of late, Strange New Worlds comprises mostly standalone episodes in which the crew of the USS Enterprise gets into various sci-fi hijinks. Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger, but it looks like things are going to get nice and wacky pretty quickly after that's resolved.

How to watch: Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 is expected to hit Paramount+ in the middle of the year.

7. Reacher Season 3

The beloved action series Reacher is back for Season 3, and things are looking tense. The excellent adaptation of the Lee Child novels hasn't let us down yet, and there's no reason to believe Season 3 won't be just as good.

How to watch: Reacher Season 3 hits Prime Video on February 20.

6. The Last of Us Season 2

The hit post-apocalyptic series based on the video game of the same name returns for Season 2 this year. Set five years after Season 1, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are back, and for those who've played the video game, peril and major spoilers are in the near future. This will be one of the most talked-about shows of the year, without question.

How to watch: The Last of Us Season 2 hits HBO Max in the Spring of 2025.

5. Daredevil: Born Again

Charlie Cox in 'She-Hulk.'

Marvel Studios

Following his MCU appearance in She-Hulk, Charlie Cox returns to the superhero that made him famous. Ironically, it was exactly 10 years ago that the Netflix version of Daredevil, starring Cox, became a huge hit in 2015. Now, the man without fear is back. It's different, but also familiar enough.

How to watch: Daredevil: Born Again hits Disney+ on March 4.

4. For All Mankind Season 5

Tyner Rushing in 'For All Mankind.'

Apple TV+.

Apple TV's critically acclaimed alternate-history drama For All Mankind jumps ahead a decade in every season. Starting in the 1960s back in Season 1, the show has now charted an entire alternate history of spaceflight, up through the 2000s. Season 4 ended with an outpost on Mars in 2013, meaning, Season 5 is going to be absolutely wild.

For All Mankind hasn't revealed its release date for Season 5 yet, but historically new seasons hit in the fall or winter.

How to watch: For All Mankind Season 5 is expected to hit Apple TV+ in late 2025.

3. Severance Season 2

The most relatable thriller (sorta) on TV returns for its long-anticipated second season. With one more full episode than Season 1, Severance Season 2 promises to go deeper into the mysteries of Lumon Industries, and to reveal just how certain characters, previously believed dead, are actually alive.

How to watch: Severance Season 2 debuts on Apple TV+ on January 17.

2. Stranger Things Season 5

The cast of 'Stranger Things' Season 5.

Netflix

Set in 1987, Stranger Things Season 5 will conclude the beloved retro series, which, believe it or not, began nine years ago in 2016. The Netflix streaming hit, which redefined all Netflix streaming hits, has become as beloved as its needle-drop-heavy soundtracks. Start placing bets on which 1987 hits will make a comeback.

How to watch: Stranger Things Season 5 is expected to hit Netflix in August 2025.

1. Andor Season 2

Diego Luna as Cassian Andor in 'Star Wars: Andor.'

Lucasfilm

The blistering first season of Andor forever changed our perception of the Star Wars galaxy. Although this series is technically a prequel to the films Rogue One (2015) and Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), Andor is very much its own show, with its own moral code and dramatic tone. Season 2 will be epic, covering the four years between Season 1 and the beginning of Rogue One. This means its twelve episodes will feature time jumps and, almost certainly, several very familiar Star Wars locales and characters.

But, we're not excited about Andor Season 2 for the nerdy dot-connecting. Season 1 proved you could make a gritty Star Wars show without sacrificing the heart. And best of all, you don't really need to know about, or even like, Star Wars to love this show.

How to watch: Andor Season 2 hits Disney+ on April 22.
