Bill Skarsgard Reveals Three Actors Who Almost Played Count Orlok in 'Nosferatu' Before He Got the Role
The movie Nosferatu has been a major success at the holiday box office and it stars Bill Skarsgard as the villain Count Orlok, though there were other actors considered for the role before him.
Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman (Lily-Rose Depp) and the terrifying vampire (Skarsgard) infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.
In its first nine days of release, the movie has already grossed $56 million at the domestic box office and is on track to becoming one of Focus Features’ top-grossing movies of all time.

Bill opened up about the other actors in an interview with Swedish outlet Moviezine.
“I know [director Robert Eggers] talked about Daniel Day-Lewis. And for a while it was Willem Dafoe who was going to play him, when I was cast as Thomas. And Mads Mikkelsen,” he said.
Bill was originally going to play the role of Thomas, which is now played by Nicholas Hoult!
