Tragedy as ‘fantastic’ young mum, 27, dies suddenly in mysterious circumstances leaving family heartbroken
A HEARTBROKEN family have paid tribute to a “fantastic” mum who died aged 27 in mysterious circumstances.
Katie Hyde, from Spilsby, Lincolnshire, was found dead on Friday, December 27.
Her family shared that Katie suffered from epilepsy and experienced seizures.
However, her cause of death remains unclear and will go to inquest.
Katie’s dad, Earl Hyde, described her as being “a dedicated mum, a loving sister and a wonderful daughter.”
He said: “She was fun loving. She had so much fun with her sisters.
“She was a care worker as well, so she would take care of other people even when she was not well herself.”
Katie grew up in the Spilsby area of Lincolnshire and attended the Great Steeping Primary School and the King Edward VI Academy in the town.
Earl told LincolnshireLive that Katie’s son Robbie was “her absolute world.”
Her dad’s partner and a close friend of Katie, Heather Williams, shared that Katie “would do anything for her little boy” and that she “touched so many people’s lives in such a short time.”
Heather continued: “When I first met Katie it was clear to me she had lived an interesting life and that she had learned a lot along the way.
“Even when she was struggling herself, she would always find time to support others, and took her role as a care assistant very seriously. She was certainly a one off.
“Always making people laugh and cheering them up.”
Katie’s devastated family have since created a fundraiser to give the young mum the farewell she deserves.
More than £1,500 has been raised of the family’s £3,500 goal at the time of writing.
All of the money raised will go towards Katie’s funeral, but any money left over will go towards supporting her son.
