Iran ready to counter any future Israeli attacks: Abbas Araghchi

Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, stated that the Islamic Republic is prepared to counter any renewed attacks from Israel, amidst speculations of a potential confrontation.

In an interview with China’s state television network CCTV, Araghchi claimed that Iran is fully equipped to respond to any aggression by Israel. However, he emphasized ongoing diplomatic and regional consultations aimed at preventing such a confrontation.

Araghchi remarked, “We are fully prepared to counter any renewed aggression from this regime (Israel). I hope such madness will not be committed by the Zionist regime.”

Araghchi cautioned that any further attacks by Israel on Iran could lead to a “widespread war.” He expressed hope that regional diplomatic efforts would avert another confrontation between the two nations.

He added, “We believe that ultimately, reason will prevail, and such attacks, which could have severe consequences for the region, will be avoided.”

These comments come amidst reports of Israel targeting key positions of the Islamic Republic in the region. In recent weeks, Israeli officials have made bold claims about their intention to eliminate Iran’s influence and power in the region.

The escalating tensions underscore the urgent need for a unified approach to ensure stability in the region. Diplomacy must remain the primary tool for resolving disputes and avoiding catastrophic consequences.

The international community should step up efforts to mediate between Iran and Israel, fostering dialogue and deterring actions that could destabilize the Middle East further. Collaborative regional strategies are essential to prevent conflicts that threaten global peace.
